CAUCQ serves as the national voice of Urgent Care, setting standards for quality operations nationwide. We offer Accreditation, Qualification, Certification, and Commendation programs to recognize excellence in the field. In 2009, the Urgent Care Association (UCA) created the Certified Urgent Care program, establishing the first set of criteria to define Urgent Care. In 2014, UCA expanded its efforts by introducing Urgent Care Accreditation, the first set of Urgent Care-specific criteria for quality operations. Ten years and 2,500 Accredited centers later, the Board of Directors voted to expand the program further and created the Commission on Ambulatory and Urgent Care Quality (CAUCQ). As an affiliate of UCA, CAUCQ works alongside the Urgent Care Foundation, the Urgent Care College of Physicians, and the College of Urgent Care Medicine to continually improve and showcase the exceptional work of urgent care organizations.
